No pressies for us … or, why don’t you put the reindeer outside already …

No time to write today.

Probably a good thing, yes?

So instead.

Yes, I really do work like this. Once a project’s on, it’s on.

See those reindeer? They’ve been waiting to be taken to the garden to cheer on Santa to our house, but, every time I walk into the room I get distracted, then forget. Probably no pressies for us this year.

Like I said, once a project’s on …

Tell me.

Does anyone else work like this?

Or is it just me?

There is a little bit of clean shelf.

See it?

So, the middle is done, now onto the corners.

I’ve always loved how order comes from chaos but I think my chaos needs a bit of a pick up today.

Probably wont happen, but, there’s always hope.

Yes, definitely agree with you on the mess (I too do this) … but clutter is a sign of genius….
I will be more than happy to clean up after you or organize you! The quilt is really coming together!!!!

  2. Wow! This is going to be an awsome quilt! Looks fabulous!
I really like quilts and patchworks (I have no idea if there is a difference between them as I’m such a noob regarding this matter) because they always look so cosy and inviting especially if they are in warm colors like this one is.

And you know what (I’m writing a reply to you here as there was no mail included in the comment you left on my blog (for which I thank you dearly)) – you could use your Sketchbook to fill it up with quilts you made this year. Maybe scan those leftovers and glue the printed pages in the book, that would look awsome for sure.

    • nice idea. i picked the theme, maps, i think. but they could be maps of my quilts. good thinking batman 😉

  3. I think I’m jealous of the space you have to be chaotic in… Not that my house is small, I just can’t shut anywhere off when I have people over, except my bedroom, and theres hardly room for me to stand up in there when the wardrobe door’s are open..

    • i know, i’m really lucky, but i’ve waited a good twenty five years for it. sometimes i feel guilty, but then I think there’s worse things to feel guilty about.

      • *grins* you’re perfectly welcome to it 🙂 specially after 25 years… (and feeling lucky is happier than feeling guilty)

If I’m honest, I don’t know if I’d really use it even if I had the space – I spend too much time on here – the ideas are there, but finding the energy to turn the computer off and make them happen is a bit beyond me on most days 🙁

        • i know the feeling, i’ve just spent two whole days on my laptop. i think it’s time to walk away 🙂

          • And/or sleep. I have no idea what time it is there, but it’s mignight here and as of now I haven’t written anything, or decluttered anything or um.. actually, apart from walking into town to buy looroll, I haven’t done ANYthing much all day.. Except for a mammoth 4 1/2 hour phone call and a lot of lounging in bed and missing buses…
