Complete overload.

It seems that I can’t handle too much internet at one time.

Something had to give.

Either that, or I’ve hit my boring stage.

Whichever it is I’ve got nuttin’ except a few pieces of jewelry to share and I’m even beginning to bore myself doing that.

Hang on, let me think…

Nope, still nuttin’.

Oh well, here’s the latest.

Labradorite and that strange Acai seed thing.

And the ever faithful Turquoise.

Something’s up.

Every day I wake up excited to go into the studio, and then I can’t be bothered

🙁

I think it’s a phase.

Perhaps it’s because I just had a birthday.

Again.

Man they’re coming fast. And don’t get me started on Science Friday. I like listening to NPR as much as the next person, but every time I turn around it’s Sci Fri on the radio and another week has simply poofed into extinction.

I’m beginning to dread it.

It’s like I can’t keep up any more.

On top of that it seems that the Flourish and Thrive course has finally bored me to death, I’ve yet to even look at the last week.

I’m all flourished out.

So, that’s it I’m afraid. I’m off now to plod through today which will soon be tomorrow, and then Ira Flatow will be on – again – telling me about birds drinking deer tears or something equally fascinating but with the terrible finality of life floating away into a sea of intriguing information.

Drowning in ….

Too much?

So. All that’s left to say is that I will see you on the other side of the boring place my friends…

May the force be with you.

  1. How can you be so much fun even when you’re feeling out of it? .

I especially love the second pendant of ocean jasper. So much going on to move the eye around.

Sounds as if you need to go on vacation. Or have someone buy 20 pieces of jewelry all at once. Something special for Deborah. Let us know what it turns out to be.

    • Because my mum beat me to death with a shovel every time I moaned.

      O.k. not really 😉

Happy belated birthday! Really, it’s just a number, right?

Hang in there, and I tend to agree with Sally, maybe a short break is in order?

Saturday is my only “bench” day, and my favorite NPR day as well. It’s always good to learn of new programs to check out – I’ve heard that’s a good one!

    • I love Wait Wait. I miss it though as I’m not in there on Saturdays. I’ll have to get a radio set up in the house. I also loved Car Talk. Sad he died, such fun people.

I really enjoy Diane Rehm, again I only get to listen to her on wednesdays when I’m in the car as I usually get into the studio after she’s finished. Even when I think I’m going to be bored by her choice of subject it turns out to be good.

I blubbered and slobbered all over the place when Ray hosted the episode after Tom’s death. He was crying as well, we all mourned together and it was beautiful.
I couldn’t agree with you more on subject matter and staying with it when you’re tempted to tune out. They surprise and impress me with the way they can make the mundane interesting.

  3. Happy belated birthday. It sounds as if you haven’t reached the one where you finally realize being bored is just the way it is. 😉 I like the bubbly progression of your first ocean jasper piece.

You’re in the hallway waiting for a window or door to open. Hang pictures congratulate others that make it through. Your turn will come.

I think you need a change of scenery. That is jewellery scenery 🙂 Perhaps you should make another beautiful quilt. Your quilts were so awesome. You also have not shown us any new sketches and pictures for ages! Remind yourself that there is no pressure to do anything, except what you put on yourself!

    • I think you’re right. I’ve been thinking about quilts for a while now. It might well be time 🙂
