Nothing what so ever has happened!
It’s just been a weird month that plugged into my hypochondriacal, so I’m going to die now am I, self, which only stopped yesterday afternoon.
Nope it wasn’t big.
Loads of people go through it.
BUT
I didn’t like it and I felt really really sorry for myself and really really annoyed that I was feeling sorry for myself and everything screeched to a stop as I planned for how I was going to react to my biopsy being positive.
Told you.
Hypochondriac.
Actually my doctor said that she had seen hypochondriacs and that I wasn’t one, but I’m pretty good at hiding my secret life of health anxiety so she didn’t know that I had already planned my funeral and given away all of my jewelry tools.
(Penny, you would have hit the jackpot! Especially as my imminent death didn’t stop me from buying more.)

And now that’s over I’m going to take my jewelry to the next level.

In other new.
My dad’s here so that has also slowed down my days.
But I did manage to finish a piece for Leslie.
I’ve also finished a second piece for Leslie to consider, but I don’t like it and can’t concentrate as much as I would like to at the moment on making something better.
And before dad arrived I made a chain.
My first.
And I was pretty darn pleased with myself.
I started on a double one, but got the gauge wrong and haven’t been able to start another yet.
If you want to make chains this is a really good dvd.
And they’re really not as fiddly as you think they’re going to be.
Of course I haven’t got on to the triple double o.m.g. one yet so I’ll have to get back to you on that.
Throughout my trauma Spud has slept.
Without a care in the world.
Just to rub it in.
But I still love her.
Even though I had to restock on phone charging wires and computer leads.
She doesn’t discriminate. P’s leads are as much in danger as mine.
And she comes onto the bed at all hours of the night when she decides she needs to spend a couple of hours purring next to a human head at decibels exceeding those made by a pneumatic drill.
It’s all good.

So happy to hear you are alright. I had to laugh at the getting rid of your tools thing. I am much older than you and have thought some of the same things. Well I’m still here also. Ha! And it didn’t stop me from buying more stuff.

I just bought that DVD. Haven’t looked at all of it yet. I also have her stone setting video. She is insanely meticulous!

Yes, I have her gem setting DVD also and I really enjoyed it. I think she is a good teacher and will probably look into everything she has to offer.
Sorry you had to go through a surgery on the unmentionables….that would be a bit scary I think. But I’m glad to hear everything went well and that you will live to see another day!
I’m such a hypochondriac myself. I’m always going online to self-diagnose at the slightest hint of anything out of the ordinary. And of course, as a result, I think I have every condition under the sun and I could kick the bucket at any moment! And I’ve even had conversations with the boyfriend about who to give all my jewelry supplies and tools to! Pretty funny!
I love the new pendant and chain. What gauge wire did you use for the chain? I’ve always loved the look of that loop-in-loop chain and wanted to make one, but have not gotten around to trying it yet.
She teaches with 24 fine silver (I think), but I didn’t have any of that in fine silver so I used 20 and a larger diameter ring. I’ve ordered some more 24 gauge so I’m looking forward to trying with that. The 20 wasn’t too large though and I think it looks nice. Will use this piece to make a bracelet. I did manage to make a length of the double loop-in-loop, but it is very tight. It still looks good, but won’t really be any good as a chain so I’ll have to work on the diameter of the ring. I’m sure there must be a chart out there somewhere. It’s also good practicing my joins without solder. Some don’t make it so I’ve got an excess of small round balls now 🙂
Kicking the bucket never ends does it! As Peter keeps telling me. We’re all dying all of the time…doesn’t help.
I’m not a hypochondriac, but the things people can do to animals and children send me into downward spirals. Music helps, but some days I can’t even get into my studio. Forcing myself to get out there now.
I tried following your post about making chain and every time I fattened the ends of a wire, it would bend Into a U and I gave up. Patience – it’s a work in progress.

The one where you flatten the ends of a piece of wire, bend them over, put holes in them and connect them to the next piece. I find iron your blog a few weeks ago – it was older.

I’m not sure I completely understand. If when you’re hammering the ends of the wire and the metal begins to bend out of shape you can hammer it flat again with a raw hide, or plastic hammer. These hammers don’t stretch the metal they just reform it. Once you have it straight again you can go on. You’re going to form the metal into a horseshoe shape anyway so it might not matter anyway.

It’s so nice to know that you’re going to be around for a while! It’s the waiting that makes a person crazy! At least that’s how it is for me when I’ve had some tests done! The last time that I went through something like that, my doctor dropped a bomb on me and basically tells me that I may have this weird disease where my blood is going to freeze in my body and then says I’ll see you in a month and we’ll talk about the new test results and I’m like a whole month, are you serious? He must not know what my head is going to go through in a month! Geez and to think I pay that guy to do that to me! Seriously I love the new piece and I am so glad that you are okay! Enjoy your visit with your family!

Having gone through a VERY serious obsession with loop-in-loop chain making, I can appreciate how excited you must be to have started on it! It really appealed to me, for whatever reasons. That is the cutest kitten ever.

I will, thanks. I can’t wait to get back to the chain. I had a few hours in the studio yesterday but just worked on re working a few pieces I already had. It’s great to have my dad here so I don’t mind and my sister comes on Friday. Can’t wait 🙂
